Carl has served as an executive leader of national and international para-church ministries as well as local church ministries for over 30 years.
His writing has been read in over 80 countries and he has had the privilege of speaking to audiences throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has also been featured on radio, television, and other media avenues. Carl completed his graduate work through Gordon-Conwell, Harvard and Ashland.
Carl is the author of The Life Book, which has reached the hands of millions of searching souls. In early 2020, he also released Letters to a Hungry Soul: Collections 1 and 2., containing handwritten, heart-felt letters from one hungry soul to another. His latest book, God, Guts, and Grit. is a fast-paced action thriller and will be the first of many in his new Cade Black Series, sharing Truth through fiction.
Carl lives near Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Colbie. They have been married for 31 years, have three married adult children (Taylor, Tanner, & Tate), three adorable grand-dudes (Rowan, Everest, & Griffin), and a cuddly miniature yorkie named Sunnie.
He and his wife love to chase adventure together. And, they also lead the young adult group at their church.
